How to add graphics to E-Mail Templates in Microsoft Business Solutions CRM
This article discusses how to add a graphic to an e-mail template in Microsoft Business Solutions CRM.
The following requirements must be met to include a graphic in a template:
- Microsoft CRM e-mail templates are Hypertext Markup Language-based and browser-based. The graphic must be created in a standard file format so that a standard Web browser can display the graphic.
- Graphics are not embedded or attached. A link that points to the actual location of the graphic is put in the file.
- The graphic must be located on a Web site that the e-mail recipient can access. For example, the graphic file cannot be located on a local file system.
To add a graphic to an e-mail template:
- On the Microsoft CRM home page, click Settings, click Template Manager, and then click E-mail Templates.
- On the Actions bar, click New E-mail Template.
- Select a template type, and then click OK.
- Complete the details of the e-mail template.
- Use Microsoft Internet Explorer to open the Web page or the Web site folder that contains the graphic. Typically, all graphics for a Web site are located in one folder. Links to the graphics in this folder are then put in the Web files.
- Copy the graphic, and then paste the graphic into the e-mail template. Although the graphic appears, only the link to the graphic has been put in the e-mail template.
- Save the e-mail template, and then test it by sending an e-mail message that uses the e-mail template.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
