This article discusses how to automatically send Microsoft Business Solutions CRM appointments to the Microsoft Outlook Calendar.
To synchronize your Microsoft CRM appointments with your Microsoft Outlook Calendar appointments, you must create your Microsoft CRM appointments through the Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook client interface.
To create your Microsoft CRM appointments through Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook, follow these steps:
-
Start Microsoft Outlook.
- In the Outlook Shortcuts pane,
click CRM Shortcuts.
- In the CRM Shortcuts pane, click the Activities Shortcut icon.
- On the Actions menu, click New Activity.
- In the New Activity dialog box, click Appointment, and then click OK.
-
Type the specified information in the required fields (the red, bold fields).
- Click Save.
If you create a Microsoft CRM appointment through the Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook client, and if you save the record, the Microsoft CRM appointment is automatically synchronized with Microsoft Outlook Calendar. You do not have to go offline for your appointments to be synchronized.
However, if you create a Microsoft CRM appointment through the Microsoft CRM Web client, you must click
Go Offline on the Microsoft CRM taskbar in the Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook client before the new Microsoft CRM appointment record will appear in your Microsoft Outlook Calendar appointments.
