How to Install the Internet Connection Wizard in Small Business Server 2003
When you view the
To Do list in the Server
Management tool on a Microsoft Small Business Server 2003-based computer, the
Internet Connection Wizard (Icw.exe) may not appear on the list. Additionally,
when you run
icw.exe from a command line or from the
Run command, you
may receive the following error message:
Cannot find the
file "icw" (or one of its components). Make sure the path and file name are
correct and that the required libraries are available.
This issue may occur if the Internet Connection Wizard has
been removed or has not been installed.
To resolve this issue, install the Internet Connection
Wizard. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Control
Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
- Click Windows Small Business Server 2003,
and then click Change/Remove.
- On the first page of the Microsoft Windows Small Business
Server Setup Wizard, click Next.
- On the Setup Requirements page, click
Next.
- On the Windows Configuration page, click
Next.
- On the Component Selection page, expand
Server Tools.
- In the Action list, click the down-arrow
next to Server Tools, and then click
Maintenance.
- In the Action list, click the down-arrow
next to Networking, and then click Install.
Note Sometimes, the Install option may not be
available. Instead you will see the None (Installed) option.
In this case, click Reinstall. - Click Next two times, and then click
Finish.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
