The Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003 (SMS 2003) Administrator console stops responding or displays a blank screen.
This problem may occur after a management point has been installed, after an advanced client has been installed, or when Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) has stopped.
To resolve this problem, install the Uiconnections.ini file. You can use this file to restart an SMS 2003 Administrator console after it loses its connection or becomes unresponsive.
The Uiconnections.ini file contains a list of error codes. When the SMS 2003 Administrator console disconnects or stops responding, an error code is returned. If the error code is listed in the Uiconnections.ini file, the SMS 2003 Administrator console tries to reconnect.
You can also add error codes to the Uiconnections.ini file to reduce the number of SMS 2003 Administrator console errors.
You must install the Uiconnections.ini file on the computer where the SMS Administrator console is run. To do this, follow these steps.
