- When you use a Lotus driver through a System Data Source Name (DSN) to connect to a data source for a mail merge in Microsoft Word 2002, Word 2002 may quit unexpectedly, and you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
When you view the details of the error message, you receive an error signature that is similar to one of the following:

- If your local computer policy has the function keys F1 through F11 turned off (11 function keys in total), you may not be able to type the lower case characters "p" through "z" (11 characters in total).
- When the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service and your TWAIN device both use the same device name, the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service is started regardless of the device that you select when you try to insert a picture from a scanner or from a camera in a Microsoft Office program.
