In Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001, when you click
Click here for Detailed Log to view the gatherer log during an incremental update or during a full update of the index for a content source, you may receive an error message on the UpdateLog.asp page that is similar to the following:
MSSearch.GatherLogStat.1
(0x800700CE)
The filename or extension is too long.
/WorkspaceName/portal/resources/UpdateLog.asp, line LineNumber
This problem may occur if you view the gatherer log when either an incremental update or a full update of the index for a content source is in progress and one or more log entries is not yet fully written to the gatherer log.
