Advanced Clients do not report inventory after you upgrade a Systems Management Server beta 2 site
After you upgrade a Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 beta 2 version site to SMS 2003 release version (build 2726), SMS Advanced Clients may stop reporting
inventory to the SMS site.
The Ccmexec.log file may log the following error:
[LOG[HTTP ERROR: 12002 : ERROR_WINHTTP_TIMEOUT : ERROR_WINHTTP_TIMEOUT]LOG]!
The InventoryAgent.log file may end with the following error:
![LOG[CCMCollTask: (80004005) Execute: Query timed-out]LOG]!
These logs are located on the Advanced Client computer in the
SystemRoot\System32\CCM\Logs folder, where the client operating system is installed.
This problem may occur if the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service stops responding and may result in a backlog of reported inventory on the SMS Management Point computer.
To work around this problem and to restore the WMI service functionality, restart the SMS Management Point (MP) computer.
Note The performance of the MP computer may decrease until the MP computer processes the backlogged inventory.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
