Systems Management Server 2.0 Administration Feature Pack Is Not Compatible with Systems Management Server 2003

SUMMARY

The Administration Feature Pack for Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2.0 is not compatible with SMS 2003. You may receive an error message if you try to use one or more of the Administration Feature Pack tools.

MORE INFORMATION

You must remove the SMS 2.0 Administration Feature Pack before you upgrade to SMS 2003. The SMS 2.0 Administration Feature Pack is binary-incompatible, and SMS 2003 does not supported it. If you use the SMS 2.0 Administration Pack tools (for example the Transfer Site Settings, Manage Site Accounts, and Elevated Rights Tools) on an SMS 2003 server, unwanted behavior may occur, and you may damage your SMS 2003 site server. Microsoft is currently developing an SMS 2003 version of the Administration Feature Pack.

APPLIES TO
  • Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003
