Internet Explorer for Windows CE stops responding after you explore many Web pages

SYMPTOMS

After you explore many Web pages for a long time, a blank page appears. When you try to move to another Web page, the browser does not respond.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, quit Microsoft Internet Explorer for Windows CE, and then restart Internet Explorer for Windows CE.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 4.2 Core OS QFE 833203. To resolve this problem immediately, click the following article number for information about obtaining Windows CE Platform Builder and core operating system software updates:

Prerequisites

This hotfix is supported only when all previously issued fixes for this product have also been installed.

Restart requirement

After you install this hotfix, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu.

You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this hotfix.

Hotfix replacement information

This hotfix does not replace any other fixes.
