This worked great! I couldn't understand why my programs were doing this, and even tried reinstalling to solve the problem. Nothing worked until I found your page on this error. The problem is now fixed and everything works again. Thanks!

Using Windows XP and Word 2002 (Office XP) this is how I solved the problem: I went into Tools>Options>File Locations Tab in Word and selected the Clipart Pictures item and clicked on Modify… then I redirected it’s path to this (typical) location: C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Clip Organizer

Thank you so much! I was having this problem on Publisher 2003, and this fix solved it. It did take a few minutes for the files to clear out.

When I refresh clipart in the clipart organizer professional edition 2003, I see yellow Xs on the other clips that were not there before, and when I refresh those, the ones I just refreshed end up with yellow Xs. How do I stop this from happening.

Also when I do refresh clipart, why does some of the pictures change. Example: flower changes to Horse clipart? This is for Windows XP (service pack 2)

didn't solve the problem - so your effort of copying and pasting the info directly from the microsoft support site was pretty useless.
