You cannot rename a functoid by using the BizTalk Mapper in BizTalk Server 2004
In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, when you rename a
functoid from the Toolbox that is available in the BizTalk Mapper, when you view the properties of the functoid in the BizTalk Mapper
grid, the functoid does not use the new name that you specified.
This problem may occur if both the following conditions
are true:
- You have renamed a functoid that is available in the
BizTalk Mapper Toolbox. To rename a functoid that is
available in the Toolbox, right-click
the functoid in the Toolbox, click Rename, and then type a new name for the
functoid.
- You dragged the renamed functoid to the BizTalk
Mapper grid.
To work around this problem, create a new functoid by using
the name that you want that has the same functionality as the functoid you want to
replace.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
