Tracking profiles that are created in BizTalk Server 2004 Tracking Profile Editor can track only schema-based messages

SUMMARY

A tracking profile that is created by using the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Tracking Profile Editor (TPE) can track only schema-based messages. This tracking profile cannot be configured to track string messages.

MORE INFORMATION

A tracking profile that is created in the TPE requires the associated XML-based document schema for a message to provide the data that the tracking profile must have to track the message.

Because string messages do not have associated document schemas, the TPE cannot create a tracking profile to track string messages.

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Partner Edition
