BUG: Deleted fields appear in the Promote Properties dialog box in BizTalk Server 2004

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, fields that you have deleted in a schema are still displayed in the Promote Properties dialog box. When you click OK in the Promote Properties dialog box, you may receive the following error message in a BizTalk Editor dialog box:

If you click Details in the BizTalk Editor dialog box, you may receive the following error message:

The following promoted properties may contain invalid XPaths: nsX:FieldName.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, remove the deleted field in the Property fields list in the Promote Properties dialog box. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. In the schema tree, right-click any node, click Promote, and then click Show Promotions.
  2. In the Promote Properties dialog box, click the deleted field in the Property fields list.
  3. Click Remove, and then click OK.
