You receive an error message when you specify a relationship in the New Product Wizard in the French, German, and Japanese versions of Commerce Server 2002 Feature Pack 1
Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 Feature Pack 1, you use the New Product Wizard to add a new product to a catalog. Additionally, you specify a relationship in the New Product Wizard. In this scenario, you receive an error message that is similar to the following:
Exceptions:
The category Entitaet is missing in the system.
Final tasks:
The new product was successfully provided.
The user-defined characteristics of the product were updated.
The product was successfully added for the categories.
The product relations was provided.
Tasks, which must be locked:
The product details were not suitably stored.
When this problem occurs, the product is not correctly created, and the relationship is not added to the product.
Notes- This problem only occurs in the French, German, and Japanese versions of Commerce Server 2002 Feature Pack 1.
- This problem only occurs when you specify the relationship in the New Product Wizard. This problem does not occur when you add the relationship on the Relationships tab of the Category Properties page in Catalog Manager.
- This problem occurs in both product-to-product relationships and product-to-category relationships.
To work around this problem, add the relationship to the product after you have added the new product to the catalog. Add the relationship on the
Relationships tab of the
Category Properties page in Catalog Manager.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're

edits), please consult a professional.
