SYMPTOMS

When you click the link to an .mht file that is saved from Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 or from Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, the Web presentation does not appear. You receive the following error message:
Page cannot be displayed.

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may have to adjust your browser settings.
Additionally, the URL that is listed for the Web page may end with the following:

-usc:x-usc:

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a problem in the MS04-013 update to Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0. This problem occurs because the .mht file is hosted on a Web server that does not support byte-range requests or on a server that is running Microsoft SharePoint Portal Services.
