INTRODUCTION

This article describes the Microsoft Office 2000 issue that is fixed in the proofing tools for Office 2000 post-Service Pack 3 (SP3) hotfix package that is dated May 25, 2004.

Issues that are fixed in the hotfix package

The following issue is fixed in this hotfix package, but was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • When you try to check the spelling and the grammar of a Swedish language document in a Microsoft Office 2000 program, you receive the following error message:
    Microsoft program has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
    If you view the details of the error message, you receive an error signature that is similar to the following:

  • The optimized and the full-file versions of this hotfix are a post-Office 2000 SP3 hotfix. To install the hotfix, you must have Office 2000 SP3 installed.
