E-mail messages that have picture attachments may not have the corresponding attachment icon in the Attachment column in Entourage for Mac

SYMPTOMS

When you view your Sent Items folder in Microsoft Office Entourage 2004 for Mac or in Microsoft Office Entourage 2008 for Mac, some e-mail messages that have picture attachments do not have the corresponding attachment icon in the Attachment column. However, if you click the e-mail message, the image is visible in the Preview pane of Entourage for Mac.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if you paste or insert the picture as an inline image in the e-mail message.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, you must insert the image as an attachment. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click New to create a new e-mail message.
  2. Click the Attachment icon.
  3. Locate the picture that you want to attach, click the picture file, and then click Choose.
