The Phone Number box is not populated automatically when you use Microsoft CRM Workflow Manager to create an activity

TechKnowledge Content

SUMMARY

When you create a Microsoft Business Solutions CRM activity by using Microsoft CRM Workflow Manager, the Phone Number box is not automatically populated on the activity record.

When you manually create a Microsoft CRM activity, the Phone Number box is typically populated automatically. However, when you add a Phone Call activity to an opportunity record, and the opportunity record requires that you have a potential customer selected, the Phone Number box is not auto-populated.

MORE INFORMATION

When a Workflow is set up to create an activity, as one of the steps in the workflow process it will not populate the phone number field like it would if you manually create an activity on an account record. This functionality is by design.
