You receive the "object error 'ASP 0177: '800401f3'" error message or the "object Error 800a01b6" error message when you try to log on to Microsoft Project Web Access

SYMPTOMS

When you try to log on to Microsoft Project Web Access after you type your user name and password, you may receive one of the following error messages:
object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'
object error 800a01b6

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you install Microsoft Project Professional 2002 on a server that is running Microsoft Office Project Server 2003.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
  • Do not use Microsoft Project Professional 2002 on a server that is running Project Server 2003.
  • Install Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
