On This Page

SYMPTOMS

When you delete text in the print Header or in the print Footer on a Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 Service Pack 1 form, the text still appears in Print Preview. Also, all the text in the print Header or in the print Footer still prints.

Although you cannot successfully delete the text in the print Header or in the print Footer, you can successfully modify the text in the print Header or in the print Footer.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, replace the text in the print Header or in the print Footer with a space. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the View menu, click Header and Footer.
  2. In the View Properties dialog box, click Header under Headers and Footers.
  3. In the Header Format dialog box, select all the text in the Print form with this header box, and then press SPACEBAR.
  4. Click OK two times.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
