The Microsoft CRM 1.2 Sales for Outlook client or Web client may become unresponsive during Advanced Find searches
The Microsoft CRM 1.2 Sales for Outlook client or Web client may become unresponsive during Advanced Find searches.
When an Advanced Find is executed by using the Microsoft CRM 1.2 Sales for Outlook client or Web client, all columns in the database table are returned for the entity that you are querying on. You expect that Advanced Find will return only those columns that are relevant to the Advance Find results grid. This behavior may cause Microsoft SQL Server blocking and may cause the application to become unresponsive.
While this query is being executed, all other selects, updates, and deletes for the queried table are blocked. Microsoft CRM must wait for the original query to finish running before any other changes to the table can be completed.
Microsoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
