Information about ActiveX controls that are supported in Access 2002

INTRODUCTION

The table in the "More Information" section lists the ActiveX controls that are tested and are verified for use with Microsoft Access 2002. The ActiveX controls that are listed in the table are the only ActiveX controls that are supported for use with Access 2002.

MORE INFORMATION

When you open a form or a report in Design view, you may notice more controls than those controls that are listed in the table. You can view the controls when you click ActiveX Control on the Insert menu. Additionally you can view the controls when you click More Controls on the Toolbox toolbar. However, only the controls that are listed in the table work correctly in Access 2002.

You may also notice that Microsoft Office XP installs several Microsoft Forms 2.0 controls that are listed in the Insert ActiveX Control dialog box. Although these ActiveX controls work in Access 2002, the native Access form and the report controls provide more functionality. The native Access form and the report controls function more quickly than their ActiveX equivalents.
