Installation of Commerce Server 2002 onto a virtual machine
Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 may not perform as expected if you install Commerce Server 2002 on a supported operating system that is running on a virtual machine. Commerce Server 2002 has not been tested on operating systems that are running on virtual machines.
Product support for Commerce Server 2002 is provided as commercially reasonable support. This is true when Commerce Server 2002 is installed on a supported operating system that is running on a virtual machine. If you have a problem with Commerce Server 2002 when it is running on a virtual machine, and the problem cannot be resolved through the commercially reasonable support of Microsoft Product Support Services, you must do the following. You must be able to reproduce the problem on Commerce Server 2002 when it is installed on a supported operating system. The supported operating system is not running on a virtual machine. You have to do this for the problem to be escalated to the Commerce Server group as a bug.
Note Commercially reasonable support is all reasonable support efforts by Microsoft Product Support Services that do not require Commerce Server 2002 code fixes.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
