The following readme document is located in the root of the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 Workgroup Edition CD-ROM:

A section of this document incorrectly states the following:
To set up a MOM Administrator Console or a MOM Operator Console, the following is required:

Microsoft Windows 2000, Standard Edition; Microsoft Windows 2000, Professional Edition; Microsoft Windows 2000, Enterprise Edition; or Microsoft Windows 2000, Datacenter Edition with Service Pack 4 or later; or Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1 or later.
This information is incorrect. This section should state the following:
To set up a MOM Administrator Console or a MOM Operator Console, one of the following operating systems is required:

Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition; Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition; Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition; or Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1 or a later service pack.
Note You cannot install the MOM Administrator Console and the MOM Operator Console on a Windows 2000-based computer.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
