SYMPTOMS

You install Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows Server 2003. The regional and language options on this computer are set to English. You then change the regional and language options to Turkish. In this scenario, when you try to view items in the MOM Operator console or the MOM Web console, you may receive the following error message:
Column 'IdComputer' does not belong to table.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Detail: System.ArgumentException: Column 'IdComputer' does not belong to table
Additionally, when you click Tasks in the Tasks pane of the MOM Operator console, you may receive the following error message:
Column 'IdTargetClass' does not belong to table.
This problem may also occur when you install the MOM 2005 user interfaces on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Windows Server 2003, or Windows 2000, and you then change the regional and language options from English to Turkish.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the English uppercase "I" character does not correspond to the Turkish uppercase "I" character. The Turkish uppercase "I" corresponds to the English percent sign (%) character. Because the MOM database uses the uppercase English "I" character in the IdComputer table, the name of the IdComputer table may be read as "&dComputer" when the computer changes to the Turkish locale.
