You receive an error message when you start your Commerce Server Business Desk application in Commerce Server 2002
In Microsoft Commerce Server 2002, you receive the
following error message when you start your
Microsoft Commerce Server Business Desk (BizDesk) application:
You do not have sufficient
permissions to use Microsoft Commerce Server Business Desk. Please contact your
system administrator.
This problem occurs because the authentication methods of your BizDesk application
are not configured correctly.
To resolve this problem, configure your BizDesk application to use
integrated Windows authentication and not to use anonymous access. To do this, follow
these steps:
- Click Start, point to All
Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2002, and
then click Commerce Server Manager.
- In Commerce Server
Manager, expand Internet Information Service,
expand yourServer, expand Web Sites, and then expand Default Web Site.
- Right-click your BizDesk application name, and then click
Properties.
- In the Properties dialog box, click
the Directory Security tab.
- Under Authentication and access control, click Edit.
- In the Authentication Methods dialog box,
click to select the Integrated Windows authentication check box, and then
click to clear the Enable anonymous access check box.
- To close the dialog boxes, click OK two times.
Note You may receive the following error message when you experience this problem. These steps also resolve the problem that occurs when you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Commerce Server Business Desk is incorrectly configured.
No modules to display.
This behavior is by
design.
