You receive an error message when you try to accept an activity from a Microsoft CRM queue
When you accept an activity from a queue in Microsoft CRM 1.2, you receive the following error message:
An error has occurred. For more information, contact your System Administrator. Error Code 0x80040216.
Although you receive this error message, you can accept the activity.
This problem occurs when another user accepts the activity and has ownership of that activity. However, your Web browser session still shows the activity as available because the session has not been updated. The problem occurs when you try to accept the activity that is already owned.
Microsoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
