You receive a "The specified domain logon name already exists" error message when you go offline in the Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook client
Before you install the Microsoft CRM Feature Pack, you can go offline in the Sales for Outlook client. However, after you apply the Feature Pack, you may receive the following error message when you click
OK in the
Offline Configuration dialog box:
The specified domain logon name already exists
When you receive this error message, you cannot go offline.
This problem occurs because of a duplicate entry in the SyncEntry table. When you take an account offline, and that same account is later shared through the online client, a duplicate entry is created in the SyncEntry table in preparation for the offline process. After you implement the Feature Pack updates, this duplicate entry causes the error to occur.
Microsoft Business Solutions CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
