You receive an error message when you try to remove a Microsoft CRM license from a user

SYMPTOMS

When you try to remove a Microsoft Business Solutions CRM license from a user, you receive the following error message:
The selected object could not be found. Verify that the object exists in both the database and Active Directory. Error Code: 0x80072030

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the user was previously deleted from the Active Directory directory service.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
