You receive an "UnauthorizedAccessException" error message when the MOM-to-MOM Product Connector tries to forward alert and discovery information in Microsoft Operations Manager 2005
When the MOM-to-MOM Product Connector in Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 tries to forward alert and discovery information to another MOM management server, you receive the following error message:
Description: Inserting data threw an UnauthorizedAccessException. User is not part of the MOM Service or Administrators group on the remote machine.
Note This problem also occurs when you try to use third-party applications that write data directly to MOM 2005 by using the following methods:
- InsertAlerts()
- InsertEvents()
- InsertPerformanceData()
This problem occurs after you upgrade to Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1). Windows Server 2003 SP1 introduces security changes that prevent the MOM-to-MOM Product Connector from connecting to other MOM management servers. This problem also occurs after you upgrade to Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2.
