Banner ads and hover buttons appear as a gray box or without a picture when you view a FrontPage Web page in Internet Explorer

SYMPTOMS

When you view a Web page in Microsoft Internet Explorer that was created by using Microsoft FrontPage, banner ads and hover buttons may appear as a gray box or without a picture.

CAUSE

This issue occurs if the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine installation is damaged.

RESOLUTION

Use one of the following methods to resolve this issue:
  • Reinstall the Java Virtual Machine on the computer.
  • Install the Sun Microsystems Java Runtime Environment on the computer.
