MOM reports may contain incorrect data after you install the Exchange Management Pack and Reports option for MOM 2005

SYMPTOMS

You have installed the Exchange Management Pack and Reports option for Microsoft Operations Management 2005 on a computer that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. In this scenario, the following MOM reports may contain incorrect data:
  • Top 100 Mailboxes by Message Count
This report may return the bottom 100 mailboxes by message in the MOM Reporting Console.
  • Top 100 Mailboxes by Size
This report may return the bottom 100 mailboxes by size in the MOM Reporting Console.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the MOM report query returns the results in ascending order. Therefore, the Top 100 Mailboxes by Message Count report and the Top 100 Mailboxes by Size report return the smallest 100 mailboxes.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest version of the Microsoft Exchange Server Management Pack for MOM 2005. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
