SUMMARY

Microsoft has released the Access 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package for Microsoft Access 2002. This article describes the following information about the hotfix package:
  • Issues that the hotfix package fixes
  • Prerequisites for applying the hotfix package

INTRODUCTION

This article describes the Microsoft Access 2002 issues that are fixed in the Access 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package that is dated July 12, 2005.

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • You run a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macro that sets the PaperBin property. If the VBA macro sets the PaperBin property to a value that is greater than 256, such as Printer.PaperBin = 257, you receive the following error message:
    Run-time error '5':

    Invalid Procedure call or Argument.
  • You create a custom main switchboard form in Access 2002. When you run the form and then click to open a switchboard form, you may experience one or both of the following symptoms:
    • The form does not open.
    • You receive the following error message:
      The expression On Click you entered as the event property setting produced the following error:

      The expression you entered has a function name that Microsoft Access can't find.

Prerequisites

  • The optimized version of this hotfix and the full-file version of this hotfix are post-Office XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) hotfixes. To install the hotfix, you must have Office XP SP3 installed. You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.
