Description of the update for Access 2002: October 18, 2005
This problem may occur because the update for Access 2002 contains the Mscdm.dll file. This file is also installed by Microsoft Excel 2002 and Microsoft FrontPage 2002.
If you do not have Access 2002 installed, but you do have Excel 2002 or FrontPage 2002 installed, you will be offered an update for Access 2002 when you check for updates. You will also be offered the update if you have a Microsoft Office XP edition that contains Excel 2002 or FrontPage 2002 installed.
To work around this problem, do not install the update for Access 2002 if you do not have Access 2002 installed on the computer.
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Office XP Professional
- Microsoft Access 2002 Standard Edition
- Microsoft Excel 2002 Standard Edition
- Microsoft FrontPage 2002 Standard Edition

didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're

edits), please consult a professional.
