Some files are not updated when you install Project Server 2003 Service Pack 2a or a later Project Server 2003 service pack
When you install Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 Service Pack 2a (SP2a) or later service packs, some files are not updated. The symptoms that you experience may vary depending on the file that was not updated. For example, the following symptom may occur. An issue that is documented as being fixed by Project Server 2003 SP2a or by a later service pack does not appear to be fixed after you install the service pack.
This issue may occur if you modified unversioned Project Server 2003 files, such as ASP pages, that are updated by Project Server 2003 SP2a and by a later service pack. Project Server 2003 SP2a and later service packs do not overwrite modified unversioned files because the changes that you made to the unversioned files may be lost if the file is overwritten.
Note The "More Information" section contains a list of the unversioned files that are updated by Project Server 2003 SP2a and later service packs. These files are updated as long as the files have not been modified.
To work around this issue, follow these steps:
- Back up the unversioned Project Server 2003 files that you modified, and then remove these files from the computer.
- Install Project Server 2003 SP2a or a later service pack.
- Make the same changes that you made to the unversioned Project Server 2003 files that you backed up in step 1 to the new unversioned files that are installed by Project Server 2003 SP2a or by a later service pack.
The following table lists the unversioned files that are updated by Project Server 2003 SP3:

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
