Microsoft has released the proofing tools for the
Dutch version of Microsoft Office XP post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package. This article describes the following information about the hotfix package:

This article describes the proofing tools issue that is fixed in the proofing tools for the
Dutch version of Office XP post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package that is dated September 1, 2005.
The issue that the hotfix package fixes
This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
- When you work with a document that contains Dutch language text in a Microsoft Office XP program, the Microsoft Office XP program may stop responding (hang). Or, the Microsoft Office XP program may unexpectedly quit or crash. Additionally, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following error message:
Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The error report contains an error signature that is similar to the following error signature:

The error signature may refer to other program versions, module versions, and offsets.
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

- The optimized version and the full-file version of this hotfix are versions of a post-Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) hotfix. To install the hotfix, you must have Office XP SP3 installed.
