Error message when you install Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Professional Edition for Service Providers: "The SQL Server Reporting Services RSKeyMgmt utility failed with the exit code 1"
When you install Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Professional Edition for Service Providers, you receive the following error message:
Error| System.Exception: Action Microsoft.Crm.Setup.Server.RSPrepareForMiniSetupAction failed. ---> System.Configuration.Install.InstallException: The SQL Server Reporting Services RSKeyMgmt utility failed with the exit code 1 and message: Are you sure you want to extract the key from the report server (Y/N)? The Report Server Windows service is not responding to RPC requests. The service may not be running.
To resolve this problem, restart the ReportServer service, and then start the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Professional Edition for Service Providers Setup program. To restart the ReportServer service, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
- Right-click ReportServer, and then click Restart.
