Warning message when you install the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 laptop client for Outlook: "The Server URL https://crm.com cannot be resolved into an IP Address. No such host is known"
When you are install the Microsoft Dynamics CRM laptop client for Microsoft Office Outlook, the Environment Diagnostics Wizard displays the following warning message:
The Server URL https://crm.com cannot be resolved into an IP Address. No such host is known.
This problem may occur if one of the following conditions is true:
- Proxy settings are incorrect on the computer where you are installing the Microsoft CRM laptop client for Outlook.
- The Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server client is not installed on the computer where you are installing the Microsoft CRM laptop client for Outlook.
To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Verify that the proxy settings are correct on the client computer
- Open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings.
- Verify that the proxy information that is listed in the Proxy server section is correct.
Method 2: Install the ISA Server client
If you are using ISA Server in your environment, install the ISA Server client on the computer where you are using the Microsoft CRM laptop client for Outlook. This step is required for the URL of the Microsoft CRM server to be resolved into an IP Address.
