The screen turns black when you start Dungeon Siege II

SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Dungeon Siege II, the screen turns black.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when Norton Security Center is running.

RESOLUTION

Method 1: Disable Norton Security Center

To resolve this behavior, disable Norton Security Center before you start Dungeon Siege II. To do this, right-click the Norton Security Center icon in the notification area, and then click Disable.

Method 2: Configure the game by using DS2VideoConfig

  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, click Dungeon Siege, and then click DS2VideoConfig.
  2. In the Video card section, select Primary Display Driver - Hardware TnL.
  3. In the Resolution section, select 800X600.
  4. In the Shadows section, select No Shadows.
  5. Click OK, and then start the game.

It is also problem with sound. When I turn of sound by adding in shortcut icon "nosound=true" problem disapeard. But I've no sound including music in game.
