How accounts are mapped when you use the POS Connector with Microsoft Retail Management System Store Operations and with Microsoft Point of Sale

INTRODUCTION

This article describes how the POS Connector maps Microsoft Point of Sale (POS) or Microsoft Retail Management System Store Operations posting accounts for Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting.

MORE INFORMATION

The following table shows how the POS Connector maps Microsoft POS posting accounts or Store Operations posting accounts by default to the general ledger accounts in Small Business Accounting. The following mappings occur by default only if you configure your company in Small Business Accounting using the setup wizard by selecting Retail and Products and Services as the company type.

Microsoft does not represent that these mappings will be appropriate for your company. It is the responsibility of every user to contact their accountant for more information about mapping requirements and about how to change the default mapping when required.
