When you use the
Back button and the
Forward button to browse between Web pages in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, MFC ActiveX controls that belong to one Web page may remain present in all the Web pages.
This problem occurs after you install ActiveX update 912945 on a computer that is running Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1.
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
