This article describes the Microsoft Access 2002 issue that is fixed in the Access 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package that is dated March 11, 2006.

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft Access 2002, you view a table in Datasheet view. You use the CTRL+' keyboard shortcut to insert the same value from the same field of the previous record. In this scenario, the keyboard shortcut does not work as expected. This keyboard shortcut causes the table to switch to Design view when the following conditions are true:
- You use a French version of Microsoft Windows XP.
- You use Microsoft Office XP.
- You use a French-Canadian keyboard together with the French-Canadian language settings.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
