Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is not currently supported for Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 databases
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is not currently supported for
Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 databases. The BizTalk Server databases must be
configured on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 3a (SP3a) or a later
version of SQL Server 2000. Or, the BizTalk Server databases must have remote
access to an installation of SQL Server 2000 SP3a or a later version of SQL
Server 2000.
You can use the SQL receive adapter for BizTalk Server 2004
or the SQL send adapter for BizTalk Server 2004 to read or write data to SQL
Server 2005 on a remote server.
BizTalk Server 2004 does not support
using any new SQL Server 2005 functionality with the SQL adapter, such as the
new primitive data types that are included with SQL Server 2005. For example,
the adapter does not currently support new XML data types in schema
generation.
For more information about how to connect applications by
using native adapters, visit the following Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN)

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
