Error message when you use the Form Assistant to select a resource for a service activity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0: "No Attribute / Error code: 80041103"
When you use the Form Assistant to select a resource for a service activity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, you receive the following error message:
No Attribute
Error code: 80041103.
Additionally, you may receive an error message in the platform trace that resembles the following message:
Crm Exception Message: 'Resource' entity doesn't contain attribute with Name = 'Field_Name'., ErrorCode: -2147217149.
This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
- The resource contains a value in a field that is not related to the Resource entity. For example, a user is a resource in a resource group, and the user has a title. However, the Title field of a User entity is not related to the Resource entity.
- The User Associated View view contains a column that is not related to the Resource entity. For example, the User Associated View view contains a Title column. However, the Title column in the User Associated View view is not related to the Resource entity.
To work around this problem, follow these steps:
- On the Service Activity tab of the Service Activity: New page, click the lookup button in the Resources field.
- In the Look up Records page, select the resource that you want to use.
You cannot use the Form Assistant to select the resource.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
