The "Notes" tab does not display the title of a note in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0

The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

SYMPTOMS

After you create a note for a record in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 or in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Professional Edition for Service Providers, the Notes tab does not display the title of the note.

When this problem occurs, the Notes tab displays only the following information:
  • The content of the note
  • The attached document
  • The creator of the note
  • The date on which the note was created
  • The time at which the note was created

RESOLUTION

Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. In Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, open an account.
  2. In the Account dialog box, click the Notes tab.
  3. Click Click here to enter a new note.
  4. When an empty box appears, click the area outside the box.
  5. A new note appears. Double-click this note.
  6. In the Note dialog box, type a title in the Title box, and then click Save and Close.
The Notes tab does not display the title of the note. To view the title, you have to open the Note dialog box, and then double-click the note.
