Error message when you try to import a customization file in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0: "The selected customization file does not conform to the required customization file schema"
The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0:
- A system administrator creates a custom view to filter accounts by using several owners as the filter criteria.
- The customizations are exported to a customization file.
- You try to import the customization file back into Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0.
In this scenario, the customization file is not imported. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
The selected customization file does not conform to the required customization file schema. A schema validation error has been detected at line line_number.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 1.
