The data in a report or in a form is not updated in Access 2007

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Office Access 2007, the data in a report or in a form is not updated when the following conditions are true:
  • You open a report and a table at the same time, and you change the data in the table. Alternatively, you open a form and a table at the same time, and you change the data in the table.
  • You do not save the changes in the table before you move to the report or to the form.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Save the changes in the table before you move to the report or to the form.
  2. To update the data in the report, click the Home tab, click Refresh All in the Records group, and then click Refresh All.

The data in the form is automatically updated after you save the changes in step 1. Therefore, you do not have to update the data in the form.
