You can select the options in all sections of the Microsoft Office Security Options dialog box only one time if the dialog box contains two or more sections in Access 2007
This article applies only to a Microsoft Access database
(.accdb).
Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.
Every time that you open a database in Microsoft Office Access 2007, you can select the options in all sections of the Microsoft Office Security Options dialog box only one time.
Note This issue occurs when the Microsoft Office Security Options contains two or more sections.
For example, the Microsoft
Office Security Options dialog box contains a VBA
Macro section and an Add-In section. Under VBA
Macro, you click to
select the Enable this content option. However, you do not select any option under Add-In. When you click OK, the default option for the
Add-In section is selected.
Note After you click OK in the Microsoft
Office Security Options dialog box, the Message Bar disappears.
Additionally, the Message Bar check box is unavailable in the
Show/Hide group on the Database Tools tab.
To work around this issue, follow these steps:
- Close the current database, and then reopen the database.
- On the Message Bar, click
Options.
- In the Microsoft Office Security Options
dialog box, select all the options that you want in all sections in the dialog box.
- Click OK.

- Microsoft Office Access 2007

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
