The command line is not automatically updated after you modify the path of the SMS 2003 Device Management Feature Pack package in Systems Management Server 2003
Consider the following scenario. You modify the path in the
Download folder box on the
General tab of the
PackageName Device Management Program Properties dialog box. When you do this, the command line that is displayed in the
Command line box is not automatically updated.
In this scenario, the Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 Device Management Feature Pack package may not be successfully deployed.
To work around this problem, manually modify the command line that appears in the
Command line box. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start the SMS Administrator console program.
- Expand Site Database (SiteCode - OrganizationName), expand Packages, expand Device Settings, expand the package with which you experience this problem, and then click Programs.
- In the right pane, double-click the package program that is displayed.
- On the General tab, note the path that appears in the Download folder box. For example, the following path may appear in the Download folder box:
\Temp\MySubFolder
- Manually modify the command line that appears in the Command line box to use the path that appears in the Download folder box. Alternatively, click Browse, and then locate the CAB file that you want to run.
- Click OK.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the SMS 2003 Device Management Feature Pack.

didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
