The change is not applied until you reopen the database when you change a setting in Access 2007
Consider the following scenario. You open a Microsoft Office Access 2007 database. You change a setting in the Trust Center or in the
Access Options dialog box. To apply the change, you must reopen the database. However, the database is not reopened automatically, and you do not receive a message that prompts you to reopen the database. In this scenario, the change is not applied. For example, if you change a macro setting in Access 2007 from
Disable all macros with notification to
Disable all macros without notification, the change is not applied until you close and then reopen the current database.
To resolve this behavior, manually close the database, and then reopen the database for the changes to take effect.
This behavior is by design.
To change a macro setting in the Trust Center, following these steps:
- Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Access Options.
- In the Access Options dialog box, click Trust Center in the left pane.
- In the right pane, click Trust Center Settings.
- In the Trust Center dialog box, click Macro Setting in the left pane.
- Click to select a macro setting in the right panel.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
